Dr Kevin Kiff is a retired NHS Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine with over 25 years of senior clinical and digital transformation experience across Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust.

As Clinical Director for Critical and Emergency Care, he led the £185m MEHT PFI development — one of the largest NHS capital programmes in the region — and drove the implementation of electronic track-and-trigger systems, demand-based critical care planning, and integrated electronic governance frameworks across the Essex Critical Care Network, which he founded.

He has a strong track record of translating complex clinical workflows into scalable digital solutions, including the development of electronic patient pathways compliant with the Mental Capacity Act and the integration of mHDU with ICU services to meet national standards.

A graduate of The London Hospital Medical College, he holds the FRCA, FRCP (Edinburgh), and FFICM, and is co-editor of the Oxford University Press textbook Training in Anaesthesia.

He led the Trust’s COVID-19 critical care response across Essex and the East of England, coordinating system-wide digital and operational change at pace and scale.

His career combines deep frontline clinical insight with proven expertise in NHS service redesign, making him well placed to bridge the gap between clinical need and digital innovation.
